On the occasion of the OVERLAPPING VOICES – Israeli and Palestinian Artists exhibition on display in May 2008 at Essl Museum, Parrhesia group, consisting of Jewish and Palestinian artists from Israel, conducted the Through Language project in Vienna's 20th district. A "visual sidewalk lexicon," such as was created in 2006 in Tel Aviv-Jaffa and Jerusalem, came about: Triplets of red words appeared on specific locations (stores, sidewalks, ATMs and others) in Hebrew, Arabic and German as graffiti in public space to bring attention to the disappearance of Arabic in Israel.
