Erwin Puls printed circa 2,000 copies of a fictional tabloid newspaper titled Die Frage (The Question) in his screen-printing studio. In addition to the "usual" columns, competition announcements and comics, it included photos of organized summer activities that resembled those of the National Socialist organization Kraft durch Freude (Strength through Joy, KdF) along with Theodor W. Adorno's 1959 essay What does coming to terms with the past mean? The text was interspersed by announcements, headlines and excerpts from a novel, My 365 Lovers. Printed copies were available one Sunday morning free of charge in several locations in Vienna. Police investigated on charges of public nuisance, resulting in a process in which Erwin Puls was sentenced to a fine an imprisonment.
