Landspace Soundings

The sound installation Landscape Soundings by the American artist and composer Bill Fontana is a composition of natural sounds recorded in Danube River marshlands north of Hainburg in late March, 1990 and saved to a CD. It served as the basis for a sound sculpture which could be experienced in the course of 14 days on Maria-Theresien-Platz between the Art History Museum and the Ethnological Museum, as well as for radio sculptures transmitted by ORF radio.
