Technology is being designed to be increasingly human-like. What role will humans play in the future?
Rob and Bob is a satirical attempt to explore this theme.
Statement by the jury
In a remarkable way, Benjamin Heil, Elias Hönle, Thomas Keschl and Sebastian Voitl manage to develop a complete and incisive dramatic arc in just 20 seconds. Playfully, with intelligence and wit, the collective uses ‘Rob and Bob’ to explore the tensions in everyday life between humans and intelligent machines. The self-deprecating piece is also impressive for its professionalism in terms of visuals, editing and acting.

Benjamin Heil, Elias Hönle, Thomas Keschl and Sebastian Voitl are a group of friends from Vienna who share a passion for filmmaking and storytelling. “20 SECONDS FOR ART” is their first joint film project. Benjamin Heil, from North Rhine-Westphalia, who grew up in Nigeria and the UAE, has a background in musical theatre and is currently training to become a physiotherapist. Elias Hönle, born in Graz, performed with Next Liberty Graz as a young actor before studying acting in Vienna. Since then, he has taken on roles in film and television, including in *Pulled Pork* (2023) and "Schnell ermittelt". Thomas Keschl, originally from Vienna, studied Digital Film and Animation at SAE Vienna and stop-motion animation in Barcelona. Sebastian Voitl, who grew up in Lower Austria, studied media technology at St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences and now works as an editor.
