Following the swearing-in of the blue-black conservative government in 2000, the artists Johanna Kandl and Ingeborg Strobl designed the resistance button, which thousands of those who opposed the political alliance of that time wore on their lapels to make a statement at the so-called Thursday marches and beyond.
