Christoph Steinbrener and Rainer Dempf installed six objects inside animal enclosures in Vienna's Schönbrunn Zoo: a sunken auto wreck in the rhino pond, railroad tracks in the bison pen, a poison drum in the aquarium, a bathtub next to the crocodiles, an oil pump on penguins' cliffs and an igloo in the elephants' corral. These foreign objects confront the viewer with the progressing destruction of natural living habitats by human activity.
