General Idea (1969 to 1994) was a Canadian artist group consisting of Felix Partz, Jorge Zontal and AA Bronson. General Idea's projects often concern themselves with AIDS as a topic. The artists ask themselves what effect social engagement can have on artistic expression. For their initiative organized as part of Vienna City Festival, they filled more than 4,500 air balloons shaped like pills with helium and let them rise to the roof spanning the Westbahnhof station hall.
