Through a cooperation with the Gewista ad agency, Erwin Puls placed twelve-sheet black-and-white posters on city billboards, transforming the streets into his gallery. On the billboards appeared an amateurishly photographed and coarsely enlarged image of a sleeping, or perhaps deceased, old man. Its subject matter presented a stark contrast to the glossy, perfect world of ad posters. The action provoked strong reactions and discussion.
