The Vienna Dairies, or WIMO for short, were established in the Stuwerviertel in 1902. The Molkereistraße in that neighbourhood still serves as a reminder of this today. The once-important dairy business – in 1935 there were 3,500 dairy cows in Vienna – operated until 1992, when it became part of NÖM.
