Artistic solution regarding the retaining and perimeter walls of the Ernst-Arnold-Park, 1050 Vienna

Extending as a strip from Pilgramgasse to the north between the Wien River and the U4 track to the west and Rechte Wienzeile, the Ernst-Arnold-Park in Vienna’s 5th district underwent a complete redesign in the context of the construction work for the Wiental Canal.

The municipal authorities were interested in ensuring a comprehensive artistic solution that would clearly upgrade the area. A permanent artwork focusing on the retaining walls and the steps used as seats was to breathe new life into the park and enhance its attraction.

Hannah Stippl’s project work in progress emerged as winner of the competition.
