BIOSPHERE is a performative concert series for the public space and for an audience to attend, and participate in, on their own bicycles.Conny Zenk, Gischt, Verena Dürr, Suzie Léger und Matthias Hurtl develop an open-air and on-the-move multichannel sound experience. Based on sound excerpts (“field recordings”) taken from different places in Floridsdorf, urban sound atmospheres are captured, recordings from both central and peripheral sites. On three evenings in June, a swarm of bicycles carrying mobile loudspeakers sets itself in motion as a Sound Ride from Brigittenau to Floridsdorf; the bicycle tour ends with a live concert of Flonky Chonks on Schlingermarkt.
