In May and June open workshops take place at the Brunnenmarkt.

"Market workers and visitors are invited to take part in a series of playful interactions: developing and sewing a bag-clothing collection, writing poetry on receipts, a radio workshop with market stories, cooking together with ingredients found at the market, a tea ceremony and a coffee break," says Joanna Zabielska.

In collaboration with Bilal Alame, Frederik Marroquín, Bita Bell and Verena Herterich, she is extends her project “Design of the Anonymous”, in which shells, walls and spaces have been created from generic PVC carotene bags, in the microcosm of the market. At the end of the lab week, site-specific participatory performances will take place in Yppenpark on Sundays, capturing the personal stories and polyphonic perspectives from the workshops.

The interweaving of artistic practice and everyday life is intended to “imagine new models for a sustainable future and make them tangible through collective action.” (Joanna Zabielska)
