This tour through Favoriten focuses on public art that has been created over the last ten years. But we also look at its long tradition, which – linked to municipal social housing construction – dates back to the 1920s.

Starting with Johanna Kandl's new mural “Be a mensch” at Willi-Resetarits-Hof, the tour takes us to the Sonnwendviertel district. We will see a wide variety of artistic facade designs, learn more about the anniversary fountain “WirWasser” by Gelatin, and hear about temporary art projects that created meeting places in the new development area and continue to shape its identity today.
